COOL Tools in Victoria Square

Birmingham's Aston Pride Project used their COOL Tools domes and Soap Box Kiosks from Trilby Multimedia as part of their Digital City Project to capture what people think about Birmingham in 2010.

Aston Pride has purchased the domes and kiosks as part of their ongoing commitment to capturing consultation in a more creative and exciting way.

First Aid Training

The team at Trilby have successfully completed a HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Training.

John from Skillbase delivered the one day course in a lively and fun way. As well as giving everyone confidence in First Aid, the course was also a great opportunity for the team to spend a whole day together.

Trilby Multimedia welcomes José to the team

José has come from Spain as part of the Leonardo scholarship program and will spend the next three months at Trilby.

His main focus will be working on video projects in both production and post production with a special interest in motion graphics and audio processing. His abilities will enhance our current work in particular his skills as a graphic designer, creating visual components for projects and possible game development.

BEHNA live webcast

The webcast was a success with approximately 130 computers connected to the stream.

The Trilby team thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and is looking forward to similar work in the future.

The atmosphere was electrifying. The build up to the live webcast meant that adrenaline levels kept rising throughout the day and peaked during the live show. An amazing feeling.

Taking part in Film Dash

Ben and Matt along with Lee O'Connell took part in the Say Hello supported Film Dash competition over the weekend of 6/7th March.

After receiving the brief at 7pm on Friday teams had 48 hours to produce a short film from scratch. The only pre existing nugget of information was the theme... Happiness. We were given a prop and a line to include in the finished piece - but the rest was down to the team.

Trilby Multimedia welcomes two new apprentices to the team, Vince and Matthew. Vince is learning skills in game development. Matthew is developing his skills in video production. Both of them will be engaged in delivering creative technology workshops with children and young people as well as doing studio productions.

Trilby Multimedia are making Behna – the performance by Kali theatre, in a kitchen in the Black Country available online. TUNE IN to the live webcast on 20th March 7pm at http://www.bctouring.co.uk /behna /

Trilby will be joined by a host who will guide online viewers through the performance, inviting viewers to interact with the pertinent issues the play raises. It promises to be both fun and a challenge for Trilby and BCT – packing in actors, an audience, three cameras, a vision mixer and a laptop into one small kitchen.

Gavin releases iPhone App.

Gavin, our Application Developer, has completed the 4 week Gamer camp delivered by Birmingham City University. The course is the first of its kind to be delivered in the UK involving a mix of programmers and graphic designers working in teams to produce an iPhone game.

The game called Bugs Away! is described as "An addictive, pick up and play, bug squashing game" and is now available on the iTunes Store for FREE!
